  • School meals price increase

    Tue 22 Mar 2022

    Dear Parents / Carers

    School meals price increase

I am writing to inform you that the price of school meals for those who currently pay for a meal will increase on 1 April 2022. Previously, school meals price increases have applied annually in September, however, we have been able to delay this rise to help paying families.

The meals price will increase from £2.25 to £2.30 for all pupils and young people at schools across Nottingham City.

Nottingham City Council have asked us to notify parents of the price increases and assure them that we are committed to offering a nutritionally balanced two-course meal which meets the government food standards and gives value for money.

This price increase of £2.30 will take effect from 20th April, on our return to school after the Easter Holidays. This will increase the weekly payment to £11.50.

    Yours sincerely

  • Ukraine Day 25.3.2022

    Fri 18 Mar 2022

    Dear Parents/Carers,

One Friday 25th March 2022 we will be showing our support for Ukraine by having a non-uniform day.

As part of our Day for Ukraine we are asking that pupils come to school wearing blue and yellow and if possible donate £1 towards a very worthy cause.

All money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Appeal and will help to supply urgent food, hygiene supplies and medical care to refugees and those trapped by the conflict.

During the day classes will be planting sunflowers as this is the national flower of Ukraine and creating artwork as part of our ‘We Stand with Ukraine’ display.

We would like to thank you in advance for your charitable kindness and generosity.

    Kind regards

Upon hearing the devastating news in Ukraine, we thought as a school it would be nice to come together and support those families in need.

The Polish Scouting Association are collecting essential supplies for Ukrainian Refugees who are arriving in Poland.

A lorry is leaving Nottingham on Friday 11th March 2022 to take donations to the Polish border. Please, if you are able to donate any of the following essential items they would be greatly appreciated:

    • Blankets, sleeping bags, towels, thermos flasks, torches and batteries.

    • Personal hygiene items including nappies, wipes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo and sanitary items.

    • Medical items including First Aid kits, paracetamol, Calpol, plasters, bandages, dressing strips.

    • Long shelf life food including, instant meals, canned food, rice, pasta, baby formula, canned baby food and sweets for the children.

Could we ask that any donations are handed into school by Wednesday 9th March 2022, and we will then arrange to deliver these essential items to the lorry pick up point.
