    Dear parents and carers,

We hope you have a lovely summer break. Pupils return to school on Friday 1st September 2023.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to you for the support that you have shown to the school over the last year. The children are at the heart of everything we do and we are very proud of them. I work with a wonderful group of adults at Rosehill – a team who give their all to make a difference in the lives of all of the children and to push them to be the very best they can be. My gratitude is extended towards the staff who make Rosehill a great place to be.

  • Rosehill Carnival

    Mon 10 Jul 2023

    Dear Parents/ Carers,

For the last few years, we have taken advantage of the lovely summer weather and organised a beach week for the pupils - which they thoroughly enjoy. This year will be no exception as we will be having our annual beach week but with a twist…it will be Caribbean themed.

As this year marks the 75th anniversary of the Windrush, we will be embracing some of the Caribbean traditions. The Windrush was the name of the ship that many Caribbean people travelled on when migrating to England after the war – this is a significant period in history for many of our pupils and staff and we would like to acknowledge this in true Rosehill style with lots of fun.

Over the next few weeks classes will begin to learn about some of the Caribbean countries and their traditions through the exploration of music, stories, food and dance as well as preparing costumes for our whole school carnival taking place on Tuesday 25th July 2023. Classes will experience some of the traditional elements of the Caribbean carnival whilst taking part in a parade around the school. To help bring this exciting event to life we ask that you please send your child to school dressed in bright colours, carnival costumes or clothing to represent a country. On the day we will be offering pupils the chance to have their face painted: if you would like your child to do this, please click here to give consent.

Please contact your child’s teacher if you feel you can support us with this event in anyway.

  • Sports Day Middle/Upper 12.07.2023

    Fri 07 Jul 2023

We will soon be holding our annual Sports morning to celebrate the physical achievements of our pupils this year.

The out of school event is taking place on Wednesday the 12th of July and will be held at the Lee Westwood Centre (Main Sports Hall) at Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton Campus, NG11 8NS.

We would love to see as many parents and carers attend to support the pupils and the school; we hope you can join in too so bring some comfy shoes!

All pupils able to attend will be taking part during the morning between 10.00am and 12.00noon. Please join us for all or some of the morning if you are able to.

We appreciate your support at these special events and look forward to seeing you there.
