Learning and Earning

4 pupils from Middle School attended Primary Parliament at Nottingham Council House.

They worked with pupils from other schools to develop and extend their parliamentary skills and knowledge.

They also worked with these pupils to create presentations and present to all, including John Dexter (Nottingham City Director of Education), on:

1. Designing and creating a toy to sell in Nottingham to raise money: Cory and his team mates created a dinosaur version of Robin Hood, with accessories.

During his presentation to the whole group Cory asked the audience 4 questions about his Dinosaur toy to ensure they were listening; John Dexter congratulated Cory on this and said it is a clever way to test whether the audience is listening.

2. How school can recycle better: Adam and his team mates talked about recycling that they already do and how they want to recycle better.

Adam's team was called 'Team Green' and they rapped about recycling (Lyrics coming soon).

Oskar was the group photographer, see his amazing photos below and Daniel supported other pupils and staff from other Nottingham Schools with their Makaton signing for 'recycling' and 'go green'.

Each of the 4 pupils participated wonderfully and represented Rosehill to a high standard.

Below are some posts from twitter - Enjoy.

We are looking forward to the next session in March
