  • RSE Day Thursday 24th June - updates

    Mon 21 Jun 2021

RSE 2021 - A national day to celebrate healthy relationships and positive sexual health education for schools, families and organisations.

On Thursday 24th June we will be celebrating RSE Day, where we will focus on all the positive work happening in the school, Nottingham City and around the Country to support learning around healthy relationships and positive sexual health.

RSE Day was founded by Nottingham City Council in 2018. Since then the day has grown into a national celebration with schools and organisations around the Country planning events and sharing good practice and successes. We look forward to sharing our successes with everyone from this event.

The whole day can be steamed live via:  www.RSEday.com

  • RSE Policy (DRAFT) & Programme of Study

    Mon 14 Jun 2021

From September 2020, it is a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum.

As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.

As part of this, parents, staff and governors, will be asked to read through the following documents and make comments on them.

Please see below the latest consultation letter, our draft policy and Programme of Study

  • NSPCC Childhood Day at Rosehill

    Wed 09 Jun 2021

On Friday 11th June 2021 we will be taking part in Childhood Day organised by the NSPCC. The charity aims to promote the importance of positive childhood experiences and how play is a fundamental part of this. After a difficult year for all we would like to spend the day encouraging our pupils to enjoy themselves through play whilst raising money for a brilliant charity. The NSPCC work hard to help prevent abuse, rebuild children’s lives and work with families across the UK.

To celebrate this special day, we are holding a Toy Day. Pupils can bring a favourite toy or game into school to show to their class. We look forward to seeing some of the toys and games pupils enjoy whilst at home, and hope to support sharing and turn taking through joint play. If you wish for your child to bring items into school please ensure they are clearly labelled with their name. We endeavor to keep all items safe but can we ask that you do not send items that are expensive or easily broken as accidents can happen.

Throughout the day pupils will be able to take part in a range of play activities around school, which we are sure they will enjoy. We would appreciate any donations parents can make to this great cause and ask that pupils wear something brightly coloured to help celebrate the day.

We really look forward to a day of play!
