• World Day for Cultural Diversity 2019

  On Tuesday 21st May, we celebrated the 'World Day for Cultural Diversity'.

  This was an amazing day and provided pupils with many new experiences and opportunities linked to our diverse school community and beyond.

  Pupils enjoyed activities such as creating flags, wearing clothing to represent their own cultures, world music/dance sessions and world cooking sessions.

  The dance studio was  transformed and pupils had the opportunity to experience first hand 'A Day in the Life of a Muslim child'.

   In the afternoon, pupils visited our 'World Café' where they got to sample different cuisine from around the world.

  Pupils had a memorable and exciting day- well done to all!

  World Day for Cultural Diversity

  To celebrate this, we will be having a Cultural Diversity Day event at school. The day will consist of your child accessing fun teaching and learning opportunities, which teach the pupils about different cultures and backgrounds and the importance of celebrating where they come from as well as respecting others.

   

   There will also be an opportunity for your child to access RE artefacts as well as a trip to the Rosehill World Café.

   

  As part of this celebration, your child is welcome to school on this day dressed in clothing that represent them, their family and their culture/background. This could be anything from their favourite T-Shirt to traditional dress.

   

  We look forward to seeing some lovely outfits!
