At Rosehill School we pride ourselves in raising money to support charities that help the local community. Please see below the charities we support.

Ukraine Fund Raising

During our ‘Day for Ukraine’ pupils dressed in blue and yellow and also created artwork that is now displayed in our outdoor learning space.

Red Nose Day

This year we once again continued our dedication to the fantastic Comic Relief cause by holding our own Red Nose Day celebrations. The day involved a fancy dress and crazy hair day! £53.60March 2022

Young Minds

 

During February one of our young men in Upper School made the incredible choice to walk up 100 flights of stairs to raise money for Young Minds; a charity that supports the mental health and well-being of children and teenagers.

Christmas Calendar Sales

Upper School pupils took photographs from around school and had them made into a calendar which we then sold to raise money. £30December 2021

Red Nose Day

Water Aid

 

 

Rosehill participated in a project called ‘Move a mile a day’ to raise funds for WaterAid. The challenge was for every pupil, staff and family to walk, run, scoot or cycle a mile a day for 28 days from 22nd Feb-22nd March. The total number of miles to be covered is 5,688.8 miles (the distance from Rosehill to Ethiopia). www.wateraid.org/uk/The School raised over £300 for WaterAid through this project!February - March 2021

The Goodall Foundation - Money donated to Rosehill

We would like to say thank you to ‘The Goodall Foundation, for their generous donation of £5,000 toward our Outdoor Learning project. This donation has gone towards the purchase of an Outdoor Learning Classroom, which supports our pupils in a range of experiences, learning and development of their curiosity and problem-solving skills. St Ann's Foodbank

Staff and families were extremely generous during our harvest festival collection of food and essential items this year.

Pupils worked hard organising and packing items before delivering to the charity, where staff were pleased to see them and grateful for their contribution.

Premier Fencing and Paving - Volunteering at Rosehill

We would like to say a huge thank you to Premier Fencing for their generous donation of equipment, resources and volunteering to improve our Woodland Walk. Because of your help, we are now able to use this space safely and the students  can once again enjoy outdoor learning. Thank you so much for volunteering, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Nottingham City Council & Castle True - Donated an oak tree to Rosehill School

As part of the celebration of the redevelopments of Nottingham Castle, Nottingham City Council and The Castle Trust are giving every primary school in Nottingham city the chance to plant a Quercus Robus (Sherwood) oak tree.
