Nottingham supports Marcus Rashford’s holiday hunger campaign
Mon 26 Oct 2020Nottingham City Council is endorsing Marcus Rashford’s campaign to tackle holiday hunger among children by making more money available to support families in need.
It follows the vote by Parliament to reject the England footballer’s campaign to extend free schools meals to children during the holidays.
“If your child usually receives free school meals, please call us and we will issue you with a £15 voucher per child to help ensure no child goes hungry this half term.”
Families who need support can apply online from Wednesday 28 October by visiting www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/coronavirus or calling our Customer Hub on 0115 915 5555.

Harvest Festival
Fri 02 Oct 2020As we are now in the autumn season, the pupils are busy learning about equinox and the harvest festival. To mark this occasion, we are having a harvest collection for the Trussell Trust Foodbanks and The Vine Community Centre Baby Bank. This not only teaches the pupils the importance of giving but also helps some of the most deprived families across the city. Both charities rely entirely on donations in order to provide people with food, essentials and baby items. We are therefore asking you to help us make a contribution to this brilliant cause.
Any donations will be greatly received, if you are able to donate any items shown in the lists below please send these in with your child by Friday 9th October 2020.
