    Tue 20 Sep 2016

Parents and families were warmly invited to our first coffee morning of the year on Friday 23rd September at 10.00am in the school café. Parents and carers were invited for a coffee or cuppa and a chat with staff from the Family Support Team. This session was informal and gave families the chance to ask questions, share experiences and give suggestions about what they wanted to learn. Everyone was welcome and the session was very successful.

  • Pokemon Go Info for Parents

    Fri 09 Sep 2016

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am sure you are aware of Pokemon Go. The latest craze that is sweeping the UK. Pokemon Go is a game that uses real world maps to find Pokemon (make believe creatures). It uses GPS to locate you in the game map and let you move around in ‘Augmented reality’ (the real world enhanced by technology). You will have seen in the news accidents caused by people not paying attention to what they are doing because they are looking at the game and not where they are going. This is an obvious issue. The NSPCC have put together a parent’s guide that explains what Pokemon Go is and things you should be aware of if/when playing Pokemon Go.

Many thanks - Cheryl Steele (Deputy Headteacher)
