NSPCC Childhood Day at Rosehill

On Friday 11th June 2021 we will be taking part in Childhood Day organised by the NSPCC. The charity aims to promote the importance of positive childhood experiences and how play is a fundamental part of this. After a difficult year for all we would like to spend the day encouraging our pupils to enjoy themselves through play whilst raising money for a brilliant charity. The NSPCC work hard to help prevent abuse, rebuild children’s lives and work with families across the UK.

To celebrate this special day, we are holding a Toy Day. Pupils can bring a favourite toy or game into school to show to their class. We look forward to seeing some of the toys and games pupils enjoy whilst at home, and hope to support sharing and turn taking through joint play. If you wish for your child to bring items into school please ensure they are clearly labelled with their name. We endeavor to keep all items safe but can we ask that you do not send items that are expensive or easily broken as accidents can happen.

Throughout the day pupils will be able to take part in a range of play activities around school, which we are sure they will enjoy. We would appreciate any donations parents can make to this great cause and ask that pupils wear something brightly coloured to help celebrate the day.

We really look forward to a day of play!
