Headteacher Update 30.7.2020

Dear parents and carers,

We want to thank all parents for you continued support at this time, we are extremely proud of all our pupils, families and staff, and the way that the school community has supported one another at this time.

Although the school is operating a little differently at present, at Rosehill the pupils and their needs always come first! We have the highest aspirations for all learners who are able to enjoy learning in a safe and inclusive environment. We understand how important it is to work together as a community to help the pupils achieve their best in all aspects of school life. Therefore, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, happy and caring school environment, that is conducive to learning.

School reopens for pupils on Thursday 3rd September. In the meantime, please follow this link. for an update from the Headteacher.

As you will remember from a recent letter, we have now said goodbye and happy retirement to our lovely Deputy Headteacher Claire Waldrom. During her time at Rosehill, Claire has shown a deep commitment to the school and the children and has overseen a successful period in the school's development. Crucially, she has brought a focus on engendering creative and child-centred approaches to teaching for learners with autism and has relentlessly driven the school forward to ensure the very best opportunities for the children and their families. Before we broke up for the summer, many parents and members of the school community sent in retirement cards and gifts, therefore Claire wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for sending such thoughtful messages.

We do hope you have had a restful summer.

Best wishes

Cheryl Steele (Headteacher)
