World Book Day this year fell on Thursday 1^st March when the school was closed due to snow. That did not stop Rosehill pupils and staff celebrating, so we have had a Book Week instead!  

This week children and staff explored a wide range of reading and book related activities: they engaged with “The dragon machine” story following a sensory trail and pretending to make and fly the machine, dress up, imagine themselves in the dragon land and counting dragons.  They took part in art and drama sessions, singing, movement and sound making. All classes have visited our school library and searched for dragons around school.      

Many children and staff came to school dressed up as book characters.

It has been a special week for all of us and an opportunity to develop children’s love to reading and stories. It was great to see children engaged, well behaved, reciting the stories and exploring sensory props.
