Snow Information
Dear parents and carers
Thank you to everyone for your support yesterday regarding weather conditions. As I am sure you are aware the snow that fell in Nottingham did have a bigger impact than originally thought, and overall there was a real impact on travel across Nottingham/Nottinghamshire.
Please do keep an eye on the school website, and for text alerts today, as we will keep you up-to-date with information as it comes through.
- School website - www.therosehillschool.com
- BBC news snow line- http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/nottingham/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8442000/8442136.stm
- BBC Radio Nottingham https://www.facebook.com/BBCRadioNottingham/.
In the event of the school having to close early today due to the weather conditions and the impact this could have on safety and travel, parents will be contacted via text to arrange collection for their child.
As you are aware, Rosehill are not responsible for the transport of pupils to and from school, but I have now spoken to a number of parents who have shared some concerns about the impact of the weather and local transport issues and how it affected the smooth and effect running of the transport for pupils.
For all transport issues/concerns, please contact the transport department:
- Nottingham City Transport – 0115 8761780
- Nottingham County Transport – 0115 8043604
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the school staff who continue to work hard to ensure the site remains safe by shovelling snow, gritting and keeping transport moving through the site as smoothly as possible.
Thank you
Cheryl Steele
