World Book Day 2016
World Book Day 2016
This year World Book Day takes place on Thursday 3 March. Its aim is to promote reading books, authors and illustrators and give every child in the UK a book of their own to keep.
At Rosehill we are planning to celebrate this great event on Wednesday 2nd March in a number of different ways:
- We are all dressing up as characters from stories or books
- Children will enjoy a fun packed day of reading related activities (storytelling, drama and music, competitions and children's work displays)
- We are having best book cover and poetry competitions in school and the winning entries will receive prizes and certificates
- Children will receive their £1 World Book Tokens.
It would be good if your child could come to school dressed up as a book character on Wednesday 2nd March.
