Ofsted

Rosehill was last inspected by Ofsted on 10 and 11 October 2023 and we received a very positive appraisal, highlighting the School as being Outstanding.

The report praised the  polite and friendly pupils, who treat each other respectfully, and all adults in school who strive to enable pupils to develop the knowledge and skills that will help them to be as independent as possible as they go into adulthood. It said:

“Rosehill is a kind and caring school where pupils are happy and feel safe”.

"The school is ambitious for what pupils can achieve".

“Pupils develop strong relationships with staff and enjoy coming to school. They say their
friends are kind. Pupils treat each other respectfully”.

“The school works exceptionally closely with families. Parents feel that relationships with
the school are strong. Many comment that the school has made a real difference to their
child and family life".

"The voice of pupils is truly heard at Rosehill".

I am delighted and hugely thankful for our amazing children, our dedicated and professional staff, the support our parents and carers provide and the fabulous challenge and support our Governing Body have given us all. As a school with incredibly high expectations of everyone in our community we will not stand still and we will continue to drive forward to provide the best possible outcomes for all of our children and young people.

Above all else, what we are most pleased about is that the inspectors saw that at the heart of everything we do as a school, is the determination to ensure that every pupil achieves their full potential, regardless of their starting point and this will remain our vision. One parent commented: "Rosehill makes the impossible possible”.

Areas highlighted for improvement by the inspectors have already been identified by school leaders, and we have been working to improve these areas, which clearly demonstrates the strong leadership of the school, who are committed to implement and review strategies.
