Caring About Learning, Learning About Caring

  • School Council & Class Ambassadors

Our School Council and Class Ambassadors

At Rosehill School, we believe every pupil's voice matters. Our School Council and Class Ambassadors help ensure that pupils have opportunities to share their ideas, represent their classmates and make a positive difference to school life.

All members of the School Council are also Class Ambassadors. Pupils are nominated and voted for by their peers and take part in an interview with the Headteacher to demonstrate their leadership qualities and commitment to our school values.

As Class Ambassadors, pupils promote and model our Rosehill values:

    • Recognise our achievements and reach our potential
    • Overcome barriers to learning
    • Succeed in our aspirations and stay safe and healthy
    • Enjoy school, have fun and build friendships
    • Help and care for others and be active citizens
    • Interact and communicate positively with others
    • Learn well today and prepare for tomorrow
    • Live fulfilling lives and look forward to the future

What Do School Council Members and Class Ambassadors Do?

    • Share ideas and opinions from their classes
    • Help improve school life for all pupils
    • Support fundraising and charity events
    • Welcome visitors and showcase the school
    • Take part in consultations and important school decisions
    • Act as role models for other pupils
    • Help promote pupil voice across the school

Primary and Middle School Ambassadors focus on supporting their departments, while Upper School Ambassadors take on wider leadership responsibilities across the school.

    Why Join?

Being a School Council member and Class Ambassador is a real achievement. It helps pupils to develop confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership skills, while making a meaningful contribution to the Rosehill community.

    Listening to Pupils

At Rosehill, we are committed to listening to all pupils. Their ideas have helped shape many aspects of school life, including improvements to our outdoor learning spaces, wellbeing provision and immersive learning environments.
