Educational Psychology

At Rosehill School, we work closely with the Educational Psychology (EP) Service to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and development.

Educational Psychologists help us to better understand a pupil's strengths, needs and barriers to learning. They work alongside school staff, families and other professionals to identify effective strategies that support positive outcomes both academically and socially.

How We Support Pupils

Where appropriate, pupils may benefit from:

• Consultation and advice for staff and families
• Assessment of learning, wellbeing and developmental needs
• Strategies to support learning, engagement and inclusion
• Support for pupils with complex or additional needs
• Staff training and professional guidance
• Contributions to EHCPs and annual reviews where appropriate

Impact

Educational Psychology support can help pupils to:

• Access learning more successfully
• Develop confidence, wellbeing and resilience
• Overcome barriers to learning
• Strengthen communication, social and emotional skills
• Achieve positive outcomes both in school and beyond

Please note that not all pupils will require involvement from an Educational Psychologist. Access to this service is considered on an individual basis and is discussed with parents and carers where appropriate.
