This year we are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March as part of a whole week of events devoted to reading, storytelling, poetry and visual arts.
We have linked the week to the curriculum topic this term – all about different animals and pets.
Throughout the week children will enjoy animal encounters at school, storytelling, music and movement sessions, so they are inspired to write and illustrate their own stories and poems about animals!
On World Book Day Thursday 5th March, we would like as many children and staff as possible to come dressed as their favourite character from a book.
You children will bring home a book token with this letter. You can use your World Book Day £1 token to get one of the brilliant reads for free between 12th February and 15th March 2026:

We’re very much looking forward to celebrating World Book Day and Reading, Poetry and Visual arts week, which could not happen without the support of parents and carers - thank you for your continued support.
