We are asking our school community to get involved and support with donations. Each class will decorate and fill a shoebox, and then these will be dropped off to the local drop-off point, and sent off in November.

This not only teaches the pupils the importance of giving but also helps some of the most deprived families across the world.

Any donations will be greatly received. This can be in the form of some of the below items, or a monetary donation (each shoebox costs £5 to send).

If you have any spare shoeboxes at home that you no longer want, please send them in to school!
Please send any donations in to school by 10th October 2025.

Items that can be sent in the shoeboxes include:

• Cuddly toys
• Small toys (animal figures, yoyo, spinning top, fidget spinner etc)
• Skipping rope
• Travel games
• Small musical instruments
• Small puzzles etc.
• Stationery
• Arts & Craft kits
• Personal items (Comb, Hairbrush, Toothbrush, Flannel, Nail clippers etc)
• Reusable plastic containers: cup, water bottle, plate, bowl, blunt-edged utensils
• Accessories (Hat, Gloves, Sunglasses, Hair bows or clips etc)
• Clothing (T-shirt, Socks, Flip-flops etc)
• Small backpack, handbag or drawstring bag
• Friendship bracelets (woven with yarn or embroidery thread)
• A personal note and photo

Please do not send in these items:

Toothpaste, sweets, lotions and liquids; used or damaged items; war-related items (e.g. toy guns, model soldiers, military vehicles etc.); seeds, gum, chocolate or food items; religious or political literature; medicines, aerosol cans, knives, sharp or fragile items.

Items packed from this list will be removed from shoeboxes.
