  • Safer Internet Day 5.2.2024

    Published 05/02/24

    Dear all,

The theme for E-Safety day this year is ‘Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.

Across the school pupils will be taking part in activities based around thinking about changes online, including looking at technology over the years and how smaller changes happen online every day and how we can stay safe online.

For E-Safety day, all classes will be involved in learning about how technology and the internet changes over time. They will explore how changes make them feel, who they can talk to in a range of scenarios and how they can keep themselves safe online.

Classes will also create a piece of work to display in school that reflects how technology and the internet changes and how different online activities make them feel. This will be informative to tell others what they need to do if they feel unhappy about something online.

Every year Rosehill takes part in this important topic, and during the year we continue to learn to stay safe online. For further information regarding our E-Safety curriculum please click here.

  • Use of vehicle gates

    Published 02/02/24

    Dear parents/carers,

We would like to remind all who enter the school, please do not use the large vehicle entrance if you are on foot. This is because it poses significant health and safety risks. Instead, could you please utilise the pedestrian gate to the right of the zebra crossings outside of the school. This is of utmost importance as your safety is always a priority to us. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

    Kind regards,

    Rosehill School

  • Parent Letter Re. Extreme Weather 1.12.2023

    Published 01/12/23

    Dear parents and carers,

In the event of school closure due to snow

It is very rare that school is closed due to snow or other adverse weather conditions but in this unlikely event, Rosehill School has put procedures in place to help keep parents and carers well informed.

In the event that school is closed, the relevant details will go directly to the Nottingham City Council. We also put the information onto:

We also aim to use our text message system (schoolcomms) which most parents and carers are signed up to. This provides you with a text message informing you about the situation.

We do appreciate that parents and carers need information as quickly as possible and we will do our very best to ensure that this happens.

However, could I politely remind everyone that it will not be possible to contact the school office for information if school is closed.

Please assume that school is OPEN unless you hear otherwise from one of the official sources detailed above.

Many thanks to everyone for your ongoing support.

    Kind regards

    Cheryl Steele

  • Stars in our Schools

    Published 23/11/23

UNISON union is holding a national celebration day for school support staff on Friday 24th November, called ‘Stars in our Schools’. Over the last few years thousands of children, staff and parents in schools across the UK have taken part in this event. Last year was a really lovely day at Rosehill, where staff nominated each other for all their hard work and support, and children thanked their teachers.

I would like to ensure that we join other schools again this year, in celebrating the positive role of the whole school support staff team in making Rosehill School a wonderful and happy place for children and young people to learn.

We will celebrate this day with pride at Rosehill School! If you would like your child to celebrate by wearing a superheroes outfit or bright colours to celebrate the work of the staff, please do so on Friday 24th November.
