Guidance: whooping cough
Published 18/06/24Guidance letter: whooping cough - please read
Dear Parent/Carer,
Following a confirmed reported case of whooping cough in Rosehill School, the UK Health Security Agency have asked me to circulate the attached guidance letter. I would ask you to take the time to read the letter carefully.
Confirmed and suspected cases should be excluded from school for 48 hours from commencing appropriate/recommended antibiotic therapy or for 21 days from onset of symptoms (in those who are not treated). Asymptomatic contacts do NOT need to be excluded.

“Red Carpet” Achievement Awards Ceremony
Published 13/06/24We have great pleasure in inviting you back into school for our sixth annual Achievement Awards Ceremony on Monday 22nd July 2024. This will be a wonderful “Red Carpet” event, so please feel free to send your child in formal attire should they wish to do so.
The times are as follows:
Primary: 9:45 - 10-45
Middle: 11:00 - 12:00
Upper: 12:45 - 2:00
This event will celebrate the exceptional performance of our students in the academic year 2023/24 and we are delighted to inform you that your child will receive a certificate in acknowledgement of their hard work and achievement.
We very much hope you will be able to join us for what we hope will be an enjoyable morning of celebrations of success.
Please feel free to contact your class teacher should you require any further information regarding our Celebration of Achievement Ceremony, and I would like to take this opportunity once again to congratulate your child.

Rosehill's Got Talent 21.6.2024
Published 10/06/24We are excited to invite you into school for our very own “Rosehill’’s Got Talent”.
Our wonderful pupils will be showcasing their talents, and we would love for you to come and see!
The event will be taking place during the day, so please see below for the department timetable.
Primary & Middle School
Arrival from 10:10am to start at 10:30amUpper School
Arrival from 13:15 to start at 13:30
Although you are welcome to attend, there is no guarantee your child will be performing, however, there are lots of great performances that we are excited to share with you.
The show’s are expected to last for around an hour, and parents of Upper School pupils are welcome to take their child(ren) home once the performance has finished.

Here to Help Fayre 23rd May 2024

Following the successful event over the last couple of years, Rosehill School will once again be hosting a “Here to Help Fayre” on Thursday 23rd May 2024 – Parents can attend any time between 9:30am – 2:30pm. Please save this date in your diaries.
This is to provide information and signpost parents and carers towards services, enabling you to feel confident to reach out and access suitable, current and relevant services.
We would like as many parents and carers as possible to attend the event, and have arranged a holistic range of information, guidance and support opportunities.

Makaton Parent/Carer Workshop 23.4.24
Published 23/04/24On 23th April we held Introduction to Makaton/ Refresher Training for Parents and Carers. Makaton is a language programme that combines signs, symbols and speech to support communication and is used at Rosehill as part of total communication approach.
The session was led by our level 3 Teaching Assistant Sarah Newsham who is also a qualified Makaton trainer. Sarah delivered a parents’ Makaton session last year which was very well received.

The session was very well received. Parents and carers enjoyed learning Makaton and practising signs. Further sessions will be planned next year.
