22nd March East Midlands Today - Weather Roadshow visits Rosehill School

Inflativerse at Rosehill

As part of our Lab_13 Science Project, we have been learning about Light and Dark. To support our topic, Nottingham University Students visited Rosehill school with an Inflativerse. (A Giant Dome which mimics the night's sky.). Pupils were encouraged to go inside and look at different star constellations. We really enjoyed this experience, especially crawling in and out the dark tunnel! Thank you to The University. of Nottingham for making this happen.

Paralympic Tour Rio 2016

We were privileged to be the first one of 100 schools chosen to participate in the Paralympic Rio Tour! We had an actual Paralympic Torch brought to our school that we got to see and touch! We also did some great activities about the history of the Paralympics! (News By Kyfer, Student).

The Queen's Long Reign

During the Autumn Term we embarked on a whole school project 'The Queen's Long Reign' which culminated in a celebration of Art, Dance and Music created by the pupils.

The Queen wrote to us to thank us for our involvement in creating a huge sketchbook for her.

On 14th July 2015 Rosehill school celebrated Bastille Day- we learnt some French words, did a French art hunt, constructed mini Eiffel towers, and made quiche. It was fun learning about a different language and culture.

Relaxation
Relaxation and sensory activities are very important to us at Rosehill. Lots of pupils enjoy using beanbags whilst relaxing.

Garcia Art Project
Pupils have the exciting opportunity to work with the Nottingham Contemporary. Over the three year project they will develop opinions about art, visit galleries and complete pieces of art alongside different artists. Already our pupils are enjoying this, we look forward to see the work they will produce.
